The Nielsen Company today announced the appointment of Rebecca Chiu to the position of Director, Consumer Research (FMCG), The Nielsen Company Hong Kong.
In her new role, Ms Chiu will lead the Consumer Research service for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in Hong Kong. She will report to Gary Martin, Executive Director, Consumer Research, The Nielsen Company Hong Kong.
Ms Chiu joined The Nielsen Company from Coca Cola - China where she was head of Business & Consumer Insights, specializing in insights and knowledge for brand innovations and strategic directions. Prior to that, she was a market consultant at Quaker Oats Company in Hong Kong.
Not only does Ms Chiu have a vast interest in market research with over 14 years of relevant experience, she is also a veteran in the FMCG industry.
Nielsen has been a market leader in the FMCG sector through its Retail Measurement arm which continuously tracks the market dynamics through its ScanTrack and Homescan panel services, providing FMCG manufacturers and retailers with essential market intelligence. Ms Chiu will be a great addition to Nielsen as the firm accelerates the development of consumer research in the FMCG sector in Hong Kong.
Ms Chiu was a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Business Administration.
