The Nielsen Company today announced the appointment of Umang Pabaru to the position of Managing Director, Nielsen Consumer Research for the Greater China region.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr Pabaru will lead the Nielsen Consumer Research teams in Hong Kong, the mainland China and Taiwan. He will report to Mitch Barns, President, The Nielsen Company, Greater China and Dave Parma, President, Global Consumer Research, The Nielsen Company.
He is a veteran in international market research with more than 14 years’ experience and is widely recognized as one of Asia’s leading researchers. Pabarubrings to Nielsen extensive experience across a wide range of markets and industry sectors as well as with several major multi-national clients. Prior to joining Nielsen, Pabaru was with TNS, where he wasDirector, Consumer Sector for Hong Kong & Singapore.
With Umang’s leadership, Nielsen’s consumer research team will bring greater clarity on client’s markets and provide clients with deeper understanding of their consumers along with actionable insights to answer to client’s business needs.
