The Nielsen Company today announced the appointment of Celia Fan to head up its Media business in Hong Kong. She will be a member of the Nielsen management team and report to Ms Fanny Chan, Managing Director, The Nielsen Company Hong Kong and Mr Bernard Hughes, Head of Nielsen Media Services, Greater China.
Ms Fan joins Nielsen from Microsoft Hong Kong where she was Regional Research and Market Insights Lead responsible for formulating effective marketing and advertising strategy for Microsoft Advertising. Fan is a veteran in leveraging various market research solutions in her business.
In her new role, Ms Fan will head up Nielsen’s Media team in Hong Kong and lead the client service and business development for Nielsen.
Ms Fan has extensive experience in market research. She is a well-rounded senior executive in the media industry with solid work experience encompassing the publishing, broadcasting and Internet sectors. She also has hands-on experience in managing market research projects.
Prior to Microsoft, Celia was Research Director for Turner International Asia Pacific Ltd for seven years and Asiaweek for four years. She is no stranger to Nielsen as she started out in market research with Survey Research Group Hong Kong in the late 90s.
Ms Fan holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from The University of Hull, UK and is a graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
